Many centuries ago, Norse longships took the Vikings across the seas and rivers of Northern Europe, through the mediteranian and as far afield as the Americas. Together they travelled, explored, traded and discovered new lands, new experiences and new people.
Like them, you and your family can explore this vast and great land of ours, discovering the treasure of memories and experiences that are yours for life.
let viking caravan services keep you and your longship on the road - exploring and discovering!

caravan servicing
Regular servicing keeps your rig running smooth - but more than that it keeps you and your family safe when towing. We've all heard stories of wheels falling off or a bearing collapsing at highway speeds... these can be extremely dangerous with a caravan tethered to the back of the vehicle with your family in it. It's so important to have your van professionally serviced every 10,000kms. We take our services seriously at VCS, offering two comprehensive service options:

wheel alignments
Having a caravan that properly tracks behind your tow vehicle is important for both safety and tyre longevity.
Misaligned wheels can induce caravan sway as you approach highway speeds and for anyone that has experienced it, it can be nerve wracking! Caravan sway that gets out of control can be disastrous.
Uneven tyre wear can be caused by misalignment, incorrect tyre pressures or incorrect/excessive caravan loading (or a combination of all three). In extreme cases, badly misaligned wheels can wear through tyres in as little as 5,000kms! This can be a costly excerise to change tyres so frequently.
Here at VCS, we take a comprehensive approach to caravan wheel alignments and focus on all possible causes, providing a comprehensive analysis of your van's current alignment and tyre pressures, as well as an assessment of your van's current loading. If required, we adjust parameters such as toe angle, camber and tyre pressure to bring your van's alignment back into the manufacturer's specs, as well as offering advice on proper loading to ensure your van tracks true and you obtain the proper mileage out of your caravan's tyres.
All wheel alignment bookings come with a full written report.
If you have adjustable independent suspension and you suspect your van's tyres are wearing unevenly, please contact us today and let us help you out!

repairs
Sometimes we have little accidents with our vans - a door lock brakes or a stabiliser leg refuses to wind up, you hit a pothole and your leaf spring suspension snaps! Sometimes things stop working like running lights or your 3-way fridge. And sometimes, as our vans get older things just start to fail like the seals around windows or your suspension bushings wear out.
For all of those times, we are here to help! As a mobile service, we may not be equipped or able to perform large repair jobs like re-cladding full sides of vans but for all your other repair needs feel free to contact us and we'd be happy to discuss your needs.
Vent/hatch repairs or replacement (switches, motors, lids)
BMS/12v system diagnostics & repair - including chargers, inverters, shunts)
Cupboard latches / misaligned doors repair
HWS diagnostics & repair
Water tank mounts / water level sensor swap outs
insurance & warranty work
Similar to our repairs section above, we can tackle repair jobs covered by insurance or replace faulty appliances or broken fixtures on your caravan that are covered by the dealer's or manufacturer's warranty. We work closely with you, insurers, dealers and manufacturers to ensure these jobs are accurately and fairly quoted and delivered promptly so you can get back on the road again with a minimum of fuss and expense.
solar & 12v systems
Whether it is increasing battery capacity, upgrading to a lithium-based system, upgrading your battery management system, installing new or larger capacity chargers or adding solar panels or inverters, we can help make your van more 'off grid' capable. We like to tailor solutions to your specific needs and budget. Contact us today to discuss options that are best suited for you.
